FINAL REFLECTION

I think this year, referring to my level of English has been improved over what I have. Since December we started high school, my level has gone up because I've taken very seriously. I know it cost me and it pains me, because that selectivity is not easy and now they want to raise the note of English, which will make it much more difficult.

Personally I think the activities that have helped to raise my level of English, the drafts have been MY SAY or exercises such as writing letters ... I also think that the activities on Monday too, so we were looking for news, we were using the dictionary ... things that are small and slowly and you'll still make you better.

Overall I think the activities we have done, whether at home, class, classroom language ... We have to improve or at least I left us as before. If I think there are certain activities that may help to lower my level up, but as I said before everything we do in class if the teacher is proposed to improve our level.

The activities this year have been pretty well I think, for example: the blog. For this next year I think would be very nice to do it again because as teenagers are the subject of the internet for hours, doing homework with the computer is more, we say, interesting.
Any activity that make for next year's excursion, for example to go to Gibraltar, where English is spoken and could be an interesting activity. In General Reference think we could do even more practical activities such as: Internet with a magazine, newspaper ... rather than as a final grade.

Summarizing , this year I improved a lot and next year I hope to improve more, doing the same activities and push myself more

PROTESTING IN THE STREET DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING

When the governement, the state... takes social measures to make teh country get better, and this measures wrong, people often quit in protest against teh measures in the street. I think not achieved the purpose of making the change until we reach extreme situations where people become crazy, broken cars, thrown objects against shops... that is when the governement changing the measures or improvenment.

On the one hand, I agree with people protesting in the streets because they are free to do what they want and the police can't say anything. In my opinion these protests are until you reach the extreme cases that I mentioned before. I also thik that the protests in the streets are always good because they don't always get extreme situations, but some people burn things and this sometimes changes the opinion of the politicians.

On the other hand I don't agree with these protests in the streets because sometimes when the people arrive in estreme situations, sometimes these persons dead. The question is: Should these situations to come to the street protests will change anything? I think that the governement don't think anything about these things.

In conclusion I belive that street protests are fine as long as this doesn't lead to extreme situations where people's live are in danger. For this reasons I think people should find other ways to protest against public entities because the street always dangerous, and public entities ever win.

FCB cOuLd NoT wItH INTER

On Wednesday, Barcelona played against Inter Milan the last game in the final of the Champions League. To win Barcelona had to score two goals, but this not possible- Inter Milan proved capable of beating the Pep Club, the club of six cups.
Everyone thought they could win this match because they had all the fans of Barcelona Nou Camp to support the players.
Barcelona until the 80th minute of the second half was not able to score goals, all you saw was Piqué, who is defense score a goal!
After the 90th minute all was lost when Bojan scored a goal, and for a time we thought that Barcelona would be the final, but the goal was invalidated because the hands of Toure had touched the ball. So it meant nothing.
Defeat of Barcelona at the end was due to the fact that as a team Inter Milan was stronger, bigger and more splendid.

FuTuRe PlAnS

With one more year at the institute I have started to think about my future. I know I want to go to University and I know I want to study Economics or Businesses but exactly what I will study, I do not know. I would prefer to go to University in Barcelona but if I am accepted to Girona I will be happy also.
Before I started planning my life at University I think I must study hard in school. With all te Economic problems and the small number of jobs available it is now even more important to get good qualifications.

My FiRsT yEaR oF bAtXiLlErAt (6th form)

I am almost finished my first year in Batxillerat I am tired of studying and working and I am looking forward to the summer holidays. This year was different from the last year harder, with more work and projects to organise and complete. The summer will be a good time to recuperate and prepare for my final year in school. If this year was hard, I have no idea what the next school will be like!
However I think I must be assured if I passed the first year of high school, maybe if I'll have to work a little harder but I'm sure I will be able to get the high school and pass the selectivity tests.

HeLp ThE aNiMaLs

The number of stray animals(animals without homes) is a problem in Empuriabrava and Castelló. Many people get a cat or dog without thinking about the work involved. When the animal becomes a problem the people leave the cat or dog on the street.
Pro-Gat has only a small area and not enough money to look after the animals. We can help by making donations of money and food to Pro-Gat. We can also participate in events organised to raise money:
-On saturday the 8th of May; Cocktail party to help Pro-Gat. Every drink bought=1€ to Pro-Gat.

-Time: 20:00-22:00 hrs.

StRaNgE wEaThEr

What is happening to the weather? Only two months ago we had snow for the first time in many years. Two weeks ago it was cold and wet. This week it has been very hot and sunny but the prevision for this weekend is cold and wet again!
I hope this summer we will have sun and hot temperatures. If we do not my plans for time on the beach and at the swimming pool will be destroyed. Are we suffering the efects of global warming?

Dear kieron,

Thanks for your letter. You have asked me to recommend an area I know in my country, Spain. I recommend you to visit the city of Girona. Girona is a 30 minutes from my village, Castelló d'Empúries.
Girona has a big population a lot of bussinesses and shops. It's a very old city and it is divided into two parts by the river.
There's the old area and the new area. In Girona you can walk along the city walls, visit shops, relax in a café and eat in restaurants.
There is a touristic train to take you round the city. You should also visit the cathedral.
New Girona there's and international airport. You can also drive to the coast for example; Palamós, platja de aro... If the weather is not good you can go to "magma"(and indor spa).
When you visit I have we can meet. Of you come in summer the weather will be hot. Remember you need Euros not pound! If you need any more help pelase ask me

Rafa's a very good friend. He is tall, he's got brown ayes and brown hair, he is quite thin and particulary good person.
In our free time we are always with friends and we often ride motorbikes. He really likes basketball but doesn't like walking very much.
Rafa only likes football a bit, but if he can choose a team it is Real Madrid.
He is rather quite but sometimes he talks a lot.
In conclusion I think that Rafa is a good friend, a good person and I have known him since he was young.

Dear, mrs pintó.

I am a student at IES Castelló d’Empúries. I World like to inform you about my ideas concerning the new school calendar.
Firstly, on the one hand I think it is a good idea because this one weak in february will give us the opportunity to recover after the exams and to catch up on any projects or other work.
On the other hand I desagree with your ideas, because we will lose one week of summer holidays a time when we can go outside, the problem in february is the weather doesn’t often make it possible to go outside.
Finally, the decision you take; if you change the calendar or not, personally I will be happy with,
If you want I can suggest some ideas that the students will like; you can join the single holy days in the months, and create one week of holiday for students in another term.

Little Red Riding Hood.

Once upon a time there was a Little girl called Little Red Riding Hood. One day her mother her to take a basket of food to her grandmother. Her grandmother lived in the forest. In the forest she met a wolf and he asked her:
-Where are you going little red?
-I am going to my grandmother’s house- said Little Red
-Take the beautiful route- said the wolf. This route was actually the long route. So the wolf had time to get to her grandmother’s house before her.
When went the wolf arrived he ate the Little Red’s grandmothers, and immediately go into the bed and pretended to be grandmother.
When Little Red arrived with the basket she thought her grandmother looked strange she has a lot of facial hair! She asked:
-Grandmother what strange eyes and ears you have?
-All the better to see and hear you with- replied the wolf
-Grandmother what strange teeth you have-said Little Red
-All the better to eat you with-said the wolf. Then he ate her.
10 minutes late the hunter arrived(he was Little Red’s father). The wolf ate him too.
Little Red’s mother never knew what happened to her daughter or her husband but she was not sad she found a new boyfriend and, with no daughter or husband to stop her, she went with her boyfriend to Hollywood and they lived happily ever after.

This is a photo that I made in Italy, at the top of the Duomo with my friend Victor. When we made the photo, I was happy because I was thinking about the long journey that was waiting for us. After making the photo we went down the stairs and when we were outside the Duomo, the students and teachers went to have lunch.

ADRIAN MOLE vs THIRTEEN

Between the book and the film there are many similarities and differences:

Similarities: The two protagonist are teenagers. Both are 13 years old, both have problems at home and at school. There are moments in the book and the film where we see the problem of peer pressure because both are forced to do things that they do not want to do-Adrian drinks and tracy smokers, drinks and tries different drugs.

Differences: Adrian Moles problems are not so serious. tracy has terrible problems. The film thirteen is disturbing to watch; Adrian Mole is hilarious to read.
Finally both Adrian and Tracy find correct route.
